Fiberglass, styrofoam, woofer, tweeter, amplifier, theremin, motion sensor, paint
21 x 17 x 11 in / 53.3 x 43.2 x 27.9 cm
Supersonic #2 emits a variety of strange frequencies from a contoured fiberglass shell that is mounted to the wall. Its jet black bulbous body fuses elements of organic shape and hi tech devices, housing a theremin which detects and responds to the proximity of a viewer. Appearing to hold sophisticated powers of celestial communication or locomotion, the sculpture simply rests in a static observant position.
