Travesias – Madrid, 2011
Video installation, LED screen
108.3 x 5.5 ft / 33 x 1.65 m
Installation view at Canal de Isabel II, Madrid, Spain.
“Travesíasis, technically speaking, a gigantic flexible screen of LEDS, measuring 30 meters long and 1,65 meters wide. This piece unfolds vertically and makes a waving shape in the air that is very attractive to behold. This long and narrow sculptural piece resembles a winding path on which images appear and disappear. The video presented shows micro-narratives or actions used as a metaphor for the obstacles, conquests and risks that every human being confronts over the course of his or her life.” – Daniel Canogar
