Tangle is a multiprojection exhibition that sees spiderwebs as a powerful symbols: these extraordinary and delicate structures serve as metaphor for today’s electronic networks. In Tangle, the spider’s web has been substituted by fiber optic cables and electric, computer and telephone cables found in Madrid’s junkyards. This project is a continuation of the artist’s long-term interest in electronic waste and excess of consumer society. Through diverse installations the artist shows how we are interconnected by the cables of the Information Society, a web that we are collectively building and simultaneously becoming trapped in.
