Long Island Down begins at sunrise and ends at sunset. It depicts the ocean from low tide to a high tide of 14 meters, and back again. This piece was filmed off of Five Islands, Nova Scotia, at the Bay of Fundy- known for having one of the highest vertical tidal ranges in the world. The bay empties and fills with 100 billion tons of sea water – more water than in all the rivers on earth combined – every six hours and +/-13 minutes.
